Jordon Schoonover of Los Alamos Receives Environmental Law Degree

Jordan Schoonover, a 2007 graduate of Los Alamos High School, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Juris Doctor degree from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Ore., with a certificate in environmental and natural resources law. 

The Lewis and Clark environmental law program is the top ranked program nationally. 

During her time at Lewis and Clark, Schoonover received Pro Bono Honors (three times), the Community Service Honors Award (twice), and was recognized as a Lezak Legacy Fellow for public interest law service. She also served as associate editor for Environmental Law Review. 

Schoonover will serve as law clerk for Senior Judge Edward F. Shea in the Eastern District of Washington for the August 2014 through August 2015 term. 

Following that, she will clerk for Senior Judge Martha Craig Daughtrey at the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Nashville, Tenn,. for the August 2015 through August 2016 term. 

Jordan is the daughter of Jon and Shelley Schoonover of Los Alamos.
