Aaron Jackson was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held at the Ponderosa Campground off State Route # 4 with a 21 second differential off his predicted time.
Other accurate predictors were: Bob Weeks at 27 seconds off, Ryan Smeltzer with a 28 second difference as well as the top finisher on the 3 mile course at 25:17, Michael Young recording 39 seconds off, and Zach Medin at 43 seconds.
On the 1 mile course 11 year old Leyton Stahan was the best finisher with a time of 9:47. 9 year old Savanna Strother was the first female at 10:54.
12 year old Pasha Trudolyubov with a time of 18:32 was the top finisher on the 2 mile course. Becky Chamberlin was the best female finisher at 23:27.
On the 3 mile course Laura McClellan was the top female finisher recording a 32:59.
Next week’s race will be held on at 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 25 and will the be “Staggered Start” race where the the participants who predict a longer time to finish will start ahead of the faster runners with the ultimate goal of everyone finishing at the same time.
It will start at Pinon (Rocket) Park on Sherwood Boulevard across from Smith’s in White Rock. 1 and 3 mile paved courses will be available.
