Jack Clifford took home the top prize, the Spirit of the West Award at the at the 10th annual Community Assets Award Saturday night at the Betty Ehart Senior Center. The award is the highest award, named for former Los Alamos County Councilor Jim West. While Clifford’s nominator is listed as anonymous, the person may disclose their identity in the future. The nominator did use the words from a variety of people who told of the many reasons why Clifford is so wonderful, the bulk of which is his volunteer work with the White Rock Senior Center. Champions of Youth Ambitions (C’YA) is the nonprofit organization that hosts the annual event, celebrating the young and the young at heart.
