Together with the Los Alamos Public Schools, the Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation has announced that Anastasija Draganic and Adah Gellis were chosen to receive the 2018 Irene Boone Memorial Scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded to students pursuing a two or four year degree at a college, university or technical-vocational program. It is made possible through the generosity of long-time resident and pediatrician, Dr. Irene Boone and her husband, Zanas “Slim” Boone.
Anastasija Draganic will attend Portland State University in the fall where she plans to major in Economics.
Adah Gellis is the daughter of Edward and Krista Gellis. She plans to attend New Mexico State University in the fall where she will major in Psychology and Business.
The Irene Boone Memorial Scholarship is administered by the Los Alamos Public Schools and the Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation. The latter is an independent organization that supports, challenges, and invests in a successful future for all Los Alamos public school students.
