Inmates To Serve Thanksgiving Meals

Secretary Gregg Marcantel

NMCD News:

For the first time ever, the New Mexico Corrections Department (NMCD) will have 50 low level inmates serve Thanksgiving lunch to the homeless and those in need.

We are grateful to our partners at Joy Junction who are always welcoming to our offenders and give them a chance to serve others. We also appreciate the help and coordination of the Convention Center staff to make this happen today at 11 a.m. at the Convention Center in Albuquerque for the Joy Junctions annual holiday meal.

Secretary Gregg Marcantel, executive staff, probation and parole officers and corrections officers will all participate in the event.
