I-25 Road Rehabilitation Work Begins April 10

Santa Fe – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will start roadway rehabilitation work the week of April 7 on Interstate 25 north of Santa Fe between Canoncito and Glorieta (mile post 294.5 – 299.5).

There will be intermittent single lane closures starting on the northbound lanes of I-25 and then moving to the southbound lanes of I-25. Motorists can expect minor delays 3 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the work week.

This $4.9 million roadway rehabilitation project is scheduled for completion this summer. The Federal Highway Administration and NMDOT have partnered to fund the improvements. Fisher Sand & Gravel New Mexico, Inc. of Placitas is the contractor for this project .

Drivers are urged to proceed through the work zone with caution, observe traffic control signs and obey speed limits. Updates on this project will be posted on the New Mexico Department of Transportation’s road conditions website, www.nmroads.com.
