SANTA FE ― Speaker of the House Brian Egolf (D-Santa Fe) commended the work of the City of Santa Fe, the Santa Fe Fiesta Council, Los Caballeros de Vargas and many others to retire the Entrada from the Fiestas de Santa Fe.
“Monday’s vote shows that having open dialogue and listening to one another produces thoughtful decisions. Our community has shown the rest of the country that difficult and sensitive situations can be resolved when mutual respect and understanding drive a conversation. Santa Fe is an inclusive and welcoming community, and I’m proud of the leaders who worked together to ensure that the Santa Fe Fiesta will endure as a vibrant part of our City’s culture for many generations to come,” Speaker Egolf said.
The City of Santa Fe, Santa Fe Fiesta, Inc., The Archdioceses of Santa Fe, Los Caballeros de Vargas and the All Pueblo Council of Governors, which is comprised of 20 sovereign Pueblos, were part of this historic decision.
