House Dist. 43 Candidate Christine Chandler Meets With Educators To Discuss Ideas For Improving Education

Los Alamos County Councilor and Democratic candidate for New Mexico House Dist. 43, Christine Chandler, met with several educators Sunday at a local residence to discuss ideas on how to improve education. Councilor Chandler is endorsed by both teachers unions. Topics included PARCC and other high stakes testing, the need for high quality early childhood education access and various educational inequities both in Los Alamos and throughout the district. Councilor Chandler who has made Education a central pillar of her platform, will be meeting with several stakeholder groups in the coming months to be ready to hit the ground running in the legislature.
