SHELTER News:

Honey is a sweet and pretty spayed female Anatolian shepherd mix, now ready for a home that has time to enjoy exercising with her and making her a part of the family.

Shelter volunteers are teaching Honey good behavior, such as keeping all four paws on the floor and not running out of the kennel door when it’s opened. Her new training will make her the perfect addition to any home. For a personalized introduction, call her sponsor at 505.501.0790.

The Los Alamos Animal Shelter, 226 East Road, 505.662.8179, has a great selection of adoptable pets; see the Petfinder website for photos here. For information about volunteering, adopting and donating and learning more about special needs animals and cats and dogs in foster care, visit www.lafos.org.

All adoptable pets are micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and have up-to-date on vaccinations. Shelter hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 3 p.m. Sundays.
