History On Tap: Los Alamos-Japan Partnership Initiative At UnQuarked Wine Room At 5:30 p.m. Today

Los Alamos Creative District News:

Join the Los Alamos History Museum for History on Tap at 5:30 p.m. today for an engaging discussion about the new Los Alamos-Japan partnership initiative begun this spring.

This is a long-term project to develop dialogue within an international museum community and pursue understanding between Los Alamos, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki. Members of the team of Los Alamos Historical Society staff who traveled to Japan in March to begin this cross-cultural exchange will share stories from the trip and lead a discussion of the project.

History on Tap at 5:30 p.m. today, UnQuarked Wine Room at 145 Central Park Square in downtown Los Alamos. Don’t miss this great discussion! History on Tap is part of the On Tap series presented by the Los Alamos Creative District.

The On Tap series happens every first and third Thursday of the month, featuring a new topic each time. The first Thursday of month rotates topics on history, nature, and art. The third Thursday of the month is always Science on Tap. History on Tap is sponsored by the Los Alamos Creative District and hosted by the Los Alamos Historical Society. This series begins each evening with an informal 10 to 15 minute lecture followed by a lively group discussion. “On Tap” is a way for people to get out and about in the community, learn something new, and meet people with similar interests. Admission is free and open to the general public.

The Los Alamos Creative District is a program of Los Alamos Commerce & Development Corporation; a private, not-for-profit economic and community development organization serving the Los Alamos area since 1983.
