The #5 Los Alamos Hilltoppers Girls Varsity Soccer team won today’s State Semifinal game against #1 seed Farmington by a score of 3-1.
Backstopped by the strong goaltending of Anna Lemke and goals from Emily Hopkins and Cece Ahlers our girls went into halftime leading 2-1. Another goal by Ahlers in the waning minutes of the game sealed the victory for the Lady Hilltoppers.
Up next is a matchup Saturday against # 3 seed St.Pius X in the State Championship. This game will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday on Field 1 at the Albuquerque Public Schools Soccer Complex.
The #2 Hilltopper Boys play #1 Albuquerque Academy in their Championship Game directly after the ladies game is over. Come cheer on both Hilltopper teams as they look to bring Championships back to Los Alamos!
