LA Walks is a citizens’ group supporting pedestrian safety, accessibility, convenience, and comfort throughout the community. The group is actively engaged with the Transportation Board, TAPS (Trails and Pathways Subcommittee), County staff, other volunteer organizations, private developers and the public to make Los Alamos a safer and more enjoyable place to walk.
Check out Walkability/pedestrian safety checklist and design guide. Get involved in helping to make your neighborhood a safer and better place to walk.
