Heinrich Sworn To 2nd Term As U.S. Senator For NM

WASHINGTON, D.C. U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) was sworn in Thursday for his second term as a U.S. senator representing New Mexico.
 
In a video to constituents, Heinrich shared his commitment to continue fighting for New Mexico’s values and priorities.
 
“Today, I start my new term in the U.S. Senate and I want you to know that I’m as committed as ever to delivering real results for New Mexico,” Heinrich said. “Despite the political chaos in Washington, we must continue to stand up for our values and work together to move our state and country forward.”

Heinrich will continue to serve on the Senate Committee on Armed Services, Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee.

Heinrich also is a member of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, Senate Outdoor Industry Caucus, Senate Climate Action Task Force, Senate Democratic Hispanic Task Force, National Service Congressional Caucus, Congressional Dietary Supplement Caucus, and the founder of the Congressional Directed Energy Caucus.
