Heavy rain showers this afternoon are causing water to pool on roadways throughout Los Alamos such as in this area on Central Avenue near the Municipal Building. Motorists are urged to slow down and drive with extra caution as the streets are becoming slick in many areas. The National Weather Service reports that showers are likely to continue into tonight mainly before 1 a.m., and some of the storms could produce additional heavy rain.
