Happy times with friends, jumping feet, summer time, music, crafts and snacks … is this Vacation Bible School or a fun time with the Craig Martin Jazz Experience Band? 

The answer is both … so bring your jumping feet to the White Rock Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m., Saturday June 2 and enjoy the free and informal event.

The Craig Martin Jazz Experience Band will play until 8:30 p.m., and there will be homemade ice cream and other delicious desserts.

Video and still picture highlights of the church’s first mission trip to Mexico several years ago will be featured along with a silent auction of handmade crafts directly purchased from the women and men of the Tarahumara ethnic group in Mexico. 

Wood carvings, woven baskets, shawls and more will be available for purchase, along with note cards embossed with printed pictures from the last mission trip.

Funds and donations from the silent auction will be used to offer a three-day Vacation Bible School, at three separate locations in the region.

Food gifts for the families at each site are also planned. 

The White Rock Baptist Church Tarahumara mission team plans on taking another traveling Vacation Bible School to the Copper Canyon/Creel area of Mexico in July.
