Gov. Appoints Jason Lidyard To 1st Judicial Dist. Court

SANTA FE — Gov. Susana Martinez has appointed Jason Lidyard of Santa Fe to Division V of the First Judicial District Court.

Lidyard fills the vacancy created by Judge Jennifer Attrep, who stepped down after being appointed as a judge for the New Mexico Court of Appeals.

Lidyard has served as a prosecutor with the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office since 2011, where he was recognized as First Judicial District Prosecutor of the Year in 2012. Lidyard also previously worked for the city prosecutor in Cleveland, Ohio and the Federal Defender’s Office in Portland, Maine.

From 2004 to 2007, he was a legislative staffer for the Colorado General Assembly in Denver, Colorado, working on education, judiciary and other issues.

Lidyard holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maine School of Law in Portland, Maine.
