Glider Crash At Taos Airport Leaves One Dead

TAOS – Around 8 a.m. today, New Mexico State Police responded to a report of a downed motorized glider aircraft at the Taos Regional Airport. 

When officers arrived at the airport they discovered wreckage from a motorized glider aircraft. One deceased male subject was found with the wreckage. 

The deceased was subsequently identified as Herbert H. Waterhouse, 69, of Arroyo Hondo.

The Federal Aviation Administration will be investigating the cause of the crash.
