Glass Drop-off Recycling Program Starts Today

Starting Saturaday, Sept. 29, yellow collection dumpsters will be placed at Sullivan Field and the Overlook Park Convenience Center to accept glass bottles and jars of all colors for recycling.

Glass bottles and jars will also be accepted for recycling at the Eco Station. Yellow in-home collection containers are now available at the Eco Station.

Los Alamos County Environmental Services Specialist Tom Nagawiecki holds the final product from the glass crusher. The glass pebbles (cullet) have round edges and will be available to residents for use in their landscaping or other projects.
