Girl’s Fusion Volleyball Holds Parent Information Meeting

NNMFV News:

Northern New Mexico Fusion Volleyball, a girls’ Junior Olympic Volleyball program, will hold a Parent Information meeting 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 at Mesa Public Library, in Meeting Room1. There will be a short presentation, with information materials available and an opportunity to speak with club representatives and coaches.

Fusion is a non-profit organization sanctioned by the U.S.A. Volleyball organization, offering competitive volleyball opportunities for girls ages 11-17. The program offers smaller teams, select coaching and highly competitive play.

Teams are grouped by age and skill level, with typically eight to 10 players on a team. Most of the competitive play will be in-state (Albuquerque and Espanola), but some of the older, more experienced teams will also compete in regional competitions (Amarillo, Denver, Durango.) The season starts in January and usually wraps up in early April.

All of the club’s coaches have many years of coaching experience. The volleyball club is parent-run and parent-funded. Parents of the athletes take care of all costs, including registration, uniforms, tournaments, coach’s fees and practice space.

Tryouts for the coming season are Nov. 17 and 24. Visit http://nnmvolleyball.org/ for more information.
