GIRL SCOUT News:
Members of Girl Scout Troop 10650 are conducting a Warm Outer Clothing Drive at locations around town through Thursday, Dec. 20.
The Scouts are collecting new or gently worn coats, snow pants, hats, scarves and gloves. All sizes for men, women and children are needed.
All of the children’s clothing will be donated to Hope Pregnancy Center here in Los Alamos. All of the men’s and women’s clothing will be donated to the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in Albuquerque. The Friars run a very busy soup kitchen and are always looking for donations of warm clothes.
Donation boxes can be found at Barranca Mesa Elementary School, Smith’s Marketplace Pharmacy, Dr. Glendon Cook’s office at Los Alamos Medical Center and the Los Alamos Nature Center on Canyon Road.
The Girl Scouts from Troop 10650 encourage everyone who can to donate and help make this winter a little warmer for those in need.
