PEEC News:
The Los Alamos Community Seed Library and Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) are hosting a community seed swap 9 a.m. to noon May 13 at the Unitarian Church, located at 1738 N Sage Loop St, Los Alamos, NM 87544.
This event is an excellent opportunity to exchange extra seeds, seedlings, and plant clippings with other gardeners in the community. Participants are encouraged to drop off their extra seeds and plants in advance at Los Alamos Nature Center or Mesa Public Library.
The Los Alamos Community Seed Library project is a collaborative effort by individuals and community organizations in Los Alamos to establish a seed library where members of the public can borrow seeds to plant in their homes. Borrowers are encouraged to return seeds from their home gardens to share with others.
Admission to the community seed swap is free and everyone is welcome to participate in this grass-roots effort to promote community gardening and seed-sharing.
