Gas Leak at Timber Ridge and Trinity Repaired

DPU News:

A natural gas leak at Timber Ridge and Trinity Drive was repaired Tuesday. The report was made at approximately 3 p.m. to the Department of Public Utilities Gas, Water and Sewer (GWS) division.

Crews were on site in minutes and by 3:45 p.m. had the breach isolated. The repair was completed by approximately 6:15 p.m. with no interruption of natural gas service to area residents.

“Our GWS division trains regularly on safety protocols, and Dept. of Transportation compliance issues, so that all staff are fully capable of handling this type of situation,” said Timothy Glasco, DPU’s Deputy Utility Manager for GWS. This ensures that gas line repairs occur as quickly and safely as possible.”

During the repair process Tuesday, Los Alamos County Fire Department crews were on scene as part of the County’s standard operating procedures.
