LADOC News:

Do you have a couple of youngsters in the house with energy to burn? Is one of them a dog? If so, the Los Alamos Dog Obedience Club has a couple of great classes to engage them both.

For kids just starting out with dog training, the “Parent Free” class is a great choice. As the name suggests, this is a kids-only class that teaches responsible dog ownership, basic manners (for the dogs), dog handling and other fun activities.

For youngsters with more experience, there is a new “Introduction to Agility” class, where kids and their pets learn to run obstacle courses to have fun and build confidence. Both classes meet on Saturday mornings for six weeks, starting Sept. 28.

LADOC is also offering registration at this time for Puppy Kindergarten, Basic Manners, Recall, and Conformation classes. Classes will begin the week of Sept 30. Class schedule, registration guidelines and registration form will be available on the LADOC website at  http://ladoc.dogbits.com/ and at the LADOC building  located at 246 East Road in Los Alamos.

Registration is first-come, first-served, and classes often fill quickly, so timely registration is advised. Registration materials must be postmarked by Sept 20.
