FSN: Tweens To Teens Workshop For Girls May 6

Family Stengths Network is holding workshop Tweens to Teens: For 9- to 13-year-old girls and their moms or other female adult.
 
How will you talk to your girl about puberty? This workshop uses games and activities to foster fun, supportive discussion.
 
We will review the biology of puberty – what physical and emotional changes she can expect and how to deal with them. We will also learn about feminine hygiene products. We will work on maintaining open communication and shared values. Families will leave with the book The Care and Keeping of You.
 
Andrea is the Los Alamos County Public Health Nurse. Jennifer has been helping teens and parents communicate for 17 years.
 
  • Date: Wednesday, May 6    
  • Time: 6-8:30 p.m.
  • Location: 1990 Diamond Dr.
  • Instructors: Andrea Cunningham and Jennifer Bartram
  • Cost: $35; includes book, munchies and gifts. Financial aid available.
