Thursday, March 9, Parents Reaching Out (PRO) will be joining with Family Strengths Network (FSN) to present two workshops addressing special needs. PRO is a statewide non-profit that connects with parents, caregivers, and educators to promote healthy, positive and caring experiences for families and children.
The first workshop of the day, Recipes for IEP Success is 10-11:30 a.m. During this workshop parents and caregivers will be informed about Special Education Services, discover the benefits of good record keeping, and learn strategies for communicating with school.
In the evening, 6-7:30, PRO will present Keeping IT All Together, a record-keeping workshop that is especially useful for families of children with extensive health concerns or special needs.
Both of these workshops are at Family Strengths Network and free to the public. Those interested in attending can register at www.lafsn.org or call 505.662.4515. Family Strengths Network is a United Way Community Partner.
