The public is invited to participate in a free Legal Fair via Skype at Mesa Public Library Saturday. Skype is a service that allows for the delivery of voice communications and multimedia sessions over the Internet.
The First Judicial District Access to Justice Committee, together with the Santa Fe Recreation Division, will present the Legal Fair 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.Saturday at Genoveva Chavez Community Center, 3221 Rodeo Road in Santa Fe. The fair will serve Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, and Los Alamos Counties.
In addition to the Skype participation, local attorney George Chandler will be available at the library during the Legal Fair to evaluate clients’ issues and do basic intake.
Participants can consult with attorneys on issues including divorce, custody, landlord/tenant issues, bankruptcy, creditor/debtor issues, child support, kinship guardianship, wills and probate, power of attorney, public benefits, unemployment and workers’ compensation.
The event is open to everyone on a first-come, first-served basis and consultations are free. Bilingual attorneys will be available.
