Aspen Elementary School is still the home of free food for children under the age of 18 through Aug. 2.
The Summer Food Service Program is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and provides a free hot lunch and healthy snack. This free lunch is extended to any youth visiting the community during the summer.
Meals are served Monday through Friday, with an option for parents to purchase a meal for just $5.
The SFSP (Summer Food Service Program) works with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), through funds provided for the state, to Los Alamos Public Schools.
