Free Home Efficiency Expo UNM-LA Saturday


Home owners and renters alike are invited to attend the second annual Home Efficiency Expo on Saturday, Sept. 24.

Hosted by the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities, this free event will focus on saving energy, water and money. Citizens are encouraged to drop in between the hours of 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at UNM-Los Alamos, Student Center, Building 2 located at 4000 University Dr. in Los Alamos.

More than a dozen exhibitors will highlight water- and energy-efficient tips, retrofits and upgrades to improve the efficiency of one’s home and landscaping. Citizens will learn about renewable energy, green products, recycling and sustainable practices. In addition, individuals will be on hand to help qualifying families apply for low interest loans to finance certain efficiency upgrades.

  • Los Alamos County Environmental Service Division; and
  • Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities.
