Free Flamenco Classes Begin In White Rock

Beginning Flamenco Dance Class resumed Saturday, Sept. 6 at the White Rock Activity Center. 

Flamenco dance has become a popular dance form worldwide because of its powerful lines, intense percussive rhythms, and the beautiful traditional melodies that cannot help but inspire movment. It comes from Southern Spain and ties together the cultures of Western Europe, Northern Africa and South Asia in its unique blend of gypsy and folk history.

Come and learn! This class is for all men and women, ages 11 and up. Ellen Walton is teaching the class under the sponsorship of the Los Alamos County Parks, Recreation & Open Space Division and the Pajarito Spanish Dance Alliance, a 501(c) 3 non-profit.
