Foundation Makes Final Push For Mudd Volleyball Tournament Teams and Sponsors

CTHF News:

With a little over a week until the 20th annual Mudd Volleyball Tournament June 7, the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation (Foundation) is making a final push to incentivize teams to register, while tents are still available, and to encourage local businesses to take advantage of high-visibility sponsorship opportunities.

“The Mudd Volleyball Tournament typically sells out each year, so now that we’re nearing ‘the 11th hour,’ we want to encourage local businesses who haven’t signed up yet to get a team together, have some fun, help a child with special needs, and gain exposure among a prime audience of almost 9,000 prospective customers,” Executive Director Jeff Hoehn said.

New this year, in honor of Mudd Volleyball’s 20th anniversary, Court Sponsorship is $2,000.

Court Sponsorship entitles teams to special privileges and marketing benefits including “beachfront” tent package; company logo on courtside signage; customized banner on tent with company logo; VIP parking/entrance; lunch provided by Papa Johns; cooler of water and Pepsi products in tent on tournament day; and Muddy Gift Bag of Mudd essentials to share with team.

Also, non-corporate teams will have a chance to compete with better team fundraising challenges and rewards than in years past, and learn more about how the tournament’s revenue helps children with special needs and their families.

In 2013, the Mudd Volleyball tournament raised $565,000 for the Foundation, and drew more than 8,000 participants.

The Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation helps families with funding for critical items such as wheelchair ramps, van conversions, durable medical or therapeutic medical equipment not covered by insurance, emergency rent and utility assistance. Their mission is to enhance the lives of Carrie Tingley Hospital patients and special needs children and their families throughout New Mexico.
