Food on the Hill: Parmesan and Black Pepper Crackers

Parmesan and Black Pepper Crackers

Ingredients….
 
1 1/2 cups flour
3 cups (8 oz) shredded Parmesan cheese
2/3 cup Kraft Parmesan- Romano cheese
1 tablespoon fresh cracked pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
5-7 tablespoons water

In a large bowl mix together, flour, cheese, pepper and salt until well blended.

Add butter and cut in with a pastry blender or two knives. Cut in until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs. 
 
Sprinkle water 1 tablespoon at a time until it starts to form a “dough”. 
 
Place all of the dough into a  large piece of plastic wrap and roll into a log 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Chill for 4 hours or more. Cut 1/8 inch thick crackers and bake for 14-17 minutes until golden. Cool.
