This Week’s Recipe: Easy as Pie Buttermilk Pie

Here’s an  easy pie for your sweetie. Again this year I am doing a special recipe that I feel anyone could make. The special someone in your life would like a surprise on Valentines Day., Make them a pie!
1 frozen pie crust, thawed
6 tablespoons butter, softened
1 ½ cups sugar
3 tablespoons flour
3 whole eggs and 1 egg yolk
1 cup buttermilk, warmed slightly (80-90 degrees)
1 teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon butter flavor (optional)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
zest from one lemon
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar.

Mix well. Beat in the flour. Add eggs one at a time and mix until well blended after each. Add zest, lemon juice, butter flavor, vanilla. Mix again. Last add the warmed buttermilk and mix well.

Pour into prepared crust and sprinkle top with nutmeg.

Bake the pie with a baking sheet under it at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
