This sign on N.M. 4 about a third of a mile southwest of Monte Rey South near White Rock was installed soon after the Cerro Grande Fire of May 2000. It had four pieces of metal, normally stored on the back, to cover the warnings. For many years, those pieces have been missing or never used, making the sign of little value. Photo by Bob Reedy
