Less than a year ago, Susie and Scott Robertson bought a derelict, bank-owned property at 452 Cheryl. Since then, they have transformed the house, inside and out!
Today, they awoke to a flock of happy flamingos adorning their new landscaping.
“This house was unbelievable when we purchased it,” Susie said. “We bought it pretty much sight unseen to be near our children. After we purchased it, we questioned our thinking!”
Thanks to their hard work, the property is now a sweet, comfortable home. The flamingos are part of an impromptu home recognition campaign being conducted by Paula Barclay, realtor with RE/MAX of Los Alamos.
“Some people are working really hard to make their homes and yards beautiful,” Barclay said. “This is just a lighthearted way to recognize these efforts.”
If you know someone who has done work on their home’s exterior or yard, Barclay encourages you to get in touch with her at paulabarclay@remax.net.
“Nominate your friend, neighbor or yourself,” she said. “Let’s make this a fun way to say thank you for making our town nicer!”
