Fish-Themed Day Of Fun At Los Luceros Historic Site May 1

The New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs (NMDCA) announces the kick-off event of the New Mexico Outdoor Pass (NMOP) program, which aims at getting local families outdoors.

The site opens at 6:30 a.m. May 1 and the fishing workshop starts at 11 a.m. at Los Luceros Historic Site, 253 Country Road 41 in Alcalde, off N.M. 68, approximately 10 miles north of Española.

During this fish-themed day at Los Luceros Historic Site, attendees will enjoy a tour of the grounds, make arts and crafts, and have an opportunity to join the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish for a beginner-friendly fishing event. Fishing poles and bait will be provided.
