Field Exploratory Sampling Scheduled For Barranca Mesa 3, Cumbres Del Norte And North Mesa Subdivisions Feb. 26-28

COUNTY News:

A geotechnical contractor will be conducting field exploratory sampling Wednesday Feb. 26 through Friday Feb. 28.

Utility locate markings will be present on roads where sampling will be performed. Large trucks with a drilling apparatus will be utilized to obtain core samples of asphalt and subsurface soils for analysis.

The results of the analysis will assist Public Works staff in determining future roadway and pavement preservation improvements.

The field exploratory sampling will occur at the following locations:

  • Camino Encantado and adjacent streets;
  • Camino Redondo, Camino Medio, Cumbres Patio; and
  • Alamo, Capulin, Tsankewi, adjacent and nearby streets.

Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and access to residents as well as services such as mail delivery, emergency services, trash and recycling collection will be maintained.
