“What better way to honor him than to bring all his friends and loved ones together to play the game he loved and raise money for the children of New Mexico,” said Gina Imprescia, Gutierrez’ widow. “Fidel would be most pleased!”

The event is a four person scramble shotgun start and with teams of team of four or volunteers will create teams for those entering as individuals. The golf registration fee is $125, which includes lunch, player awards, a silent auction and raffle.

Non-golfers are invited to join in the lunch to help raise funds for youth.

“Our hope is that the people who loved and respected Fidel the most will attend this tournament and feel surrounded by Fidel’s fun-loving and joyful spirit,” Imprescia said.

Learn more about the tournament by calling 505.670.2963 or emailing fidelmemorialtourney@gmail.com.
