COUNTY News:
Users of Barranca Mesa and Rover Parks will see construction activity over the next week as County contractors work to replace aging fencing around each park area.
Work will take place during the week and is already underway this morning at Rover Park with a planned completion date of Wednesday, July 16. Work begins on the fencing around Barranca Mesa Park either Monday or Tuesday, July 14 or 15 and should conclude by Friday, July 1).
During construction of the new fence, there may be portions of the park or playgrounds that are intermittently closed to use by the public for safety reasons; however, when crews depart at the end of each work day, the park should be safe for public use and fencing materials will be secured.
Park visitors are asked to use caution in construction areas, obey temporary closure signs or taped-off areas for their safety, and generally avoid fencing activities that are in progress. Parents are especially asked to keep close watch on their children at play in the parks while new fencing is being installed – advise small children to avoid the construction areas for their own safety.
