FBI News:
ALBUQUERQUE — Tristian Cadman of Tohajilee, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, pleaded guilty Wednesday to second-degree murder and using a firearm in a crime of violence.
A grand jury indicted Cadman Sept. 11, 2019.
In his plea agreement, Cadman admitted that early in the morning of Aug. 21, 2019, he and an associate armed themselves and attempted to rob the victim and the victim’s companion. Following a scuffle, Cadman shot and killed the victim.
The murder took place on the Navajo Nation. Under the terms of the plea agreement, Cadman faces 10 years to life in prison.
The FBI investigated this case with assistance from the Navajo Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph M. Spindle is prosecuting the case.
