Faulty Cable Causes Barranca Mesa Power Outage

DPU News:

A faulted underground cable was the cause of Wednesday afternoon’s power outage.

Approximately 95 Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities’ (DPU) customers lost power at about 3 p.m. east of San Juan Road on Barranca Mesa. DPU electric linemen located the fault, made repairs and restored power by 5:35 p.m. to the affected residences.
