Family YMCA Youth Basketball Registration Opens

The Family YMCA’s Youth Basketball Program for girls and boys in grades 1-6 is taking registration through Oct. 26. Parents are encouraged to volunteer as coaches, assistants and team parents.
 
The Y’s basketball leagues are developmental and co-ed for youth in grades 1-2; and competitive for girls in 3-4 grade, boys in 3-4 grade, girls 5-6 grade, and boys 5-6 grade.
 
Practices are held Nov. 5 through Feb. 1, two times per week in Los Alamos or White Rock. Games are Saturdays, Dec. 1 through Feb. 2. Cost is $120, or $90 for Y Members. Price includes team jersey for players to keep, gym rental, monitor, referees and administration fees.
