Facebook Offers Free Business Workshop in Santa Fe

Business News:

On Monday, Dec. 9 Facebook’s Small Business Boost will stop in Santa Fe to offer more than 100 small business owners advice on how to optimize their presence on the world’s largest social network. Rep. Ben Ray Luján, D-N.M., will kick off the event and meet local small business owners.

Registration is 8:30 a.m. and the workshop takes place 9-10:30 a.m. at the Eldorado Hotel, 309 W. San Francisco.

“Social media offers small businesses new opportunities to connect with customers and spread the word about their products and services,” Luján said. “Facebook’s Small Business Boost helps local business owners get the most out of the resources that are available to them while sharing innovative ideas that can result in new ways to market and grow their businesses.”

In addition to hearing from Facebook employees and entrepreneurs who have already found success through Facebook, several organizations will also be on hand to share resources to help local businesses grow in the Santa Fe area.

Since 2011, Facebook has held more than 50 Small Business Boost events across the country to help small businesses build a Facebook page, improve engagement with customers, and create ad campaigns. In New Mexico, Facebook has enabled more than two million connections between local businesses and users. At this event, one lucky attendee will win a $2,500 advertising credit.
