Evelyn Vigil Returns To Los Alamos For A Visit

Rev. Evelyn Vigil was in town to visit friends last week. Vigil served as editor/publisher of the Monitor for 10 years during the 1980s-90s time period. She went on to become a reverand and for the past 13 years, has served as the facility chaplain for the Main Jail of Santa Clara County, in San Jose, Calif. It is a maximum-security jail holding approximately 1,600 men, and includes a psychiatric unit, a hospital unit and a special-housing unit for handicapped inmates. She stopped by the Los Alamos Daily Post’s downtown headquarters Thursday for a tour and said the guys back home asked her to pose for a picture holding up the San Quentin News somewhere along her trip.
