Environmental Sustainability Board Updates Council

Los Alamos County Environmental Services Division Manager Angelica Gurule and Environmental Sustainability Board Chair John Bliss update the Los Alamos County Council about the Sustainability Board during the Council’s special session Tuesday night at the White Rock Fire Station. In the presentation, it is reported the Environmental Sustainability Board is recommending a rate increase. The Fiscal Year 2018 budget assumed a $3 household rate increase and a 3 percent commerical rate increase. It is also stated in the presentation that working capital is being used to cover operational expenses. This rate increase will go to Council for approval in June.
