As Summertime Approaches, New Mexico Environment Department Conducts Inspections At Public Swimming Pools

NMED News:

New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) is now conducting inspections at public pools across the state. Public pools are eligible to reopen under the state’s current Public Health Order and color-coded COVID-19 risk framework.

Under the current Public Health Order, public pool capacity is determined depending on how they are used:

The Los Alamos Farmers Market will open its summer market season 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 6 at Ashley Pond Park near the Judicial Center and Central Avenue and run Thursdays through October.

In addition to the weekly Thursday markets, Saturday markets will begin in June and run 8 a.m. to noon through September.

Feral Cow Roundup Continues In Bayo And Pueblo Canyons

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County Announced that the 2021 operations began today to safely and humanely remove feral cattle from Bayo and Pueblo canyons.

Two cows have been caught in Pueblo Canyon. However, most of the herd have proven difficult, and the roundup and trail closures have been extended to the end of May.
