Tucson, Ariz. — Scientists have long been puzzled by the existence of so-called “buckyballs” – complex carbon molecules with a soccer-ball-like structure – throughout interstellar space.

SANTA FE – The magnificent New Mexico blue spruce chosen to grace the west front of the U.S. Capitol this holiday season will make two stops on the Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) next week as it begins its journey to Washington, D.C.
Harvested this week from the Carson National Forest, the 60-foot 2019 Capitol Christmas Tree will begin its cross-country tour Monday with 16 stops across New Mexico before heading east to Washington.
