Spencer Terrell is a business banker at Enterprise Bank & Trust well known for bringing joy to the workplace. 

“Spence is a focused and committed Business Banker who loves life and is great fun to be around,” said Liddie Martinez, president of the Los Alamos Region for Enterprise Bank & Trust and Director of Community Engagement. “He is thoughtful and kind, keeping his customers’ needs at the forefront of his mind.”

Terrell explained how he came to work at the bank 17 years ago and what keeps him there.

“When we relocated to the area in 2009, my search for a local bank emphasized community service, honest communication, and hard work,” Terrell said. “Los Alamos National Bank fit perfectly and it continues today with Enterprise.”

He described how he defines success for his group.

“By listening first, delivering thoughtful solutions and always understanding the needs of our clients and the community … serving our business community means meeting people where they are today,” Terrell said. “Sometimes that means growing with clients and doing more than offering a loan. Most days, I have to be prepared for anything … that’s the part I enjoy most.”

Community involvement is another aspect of the Enterprise Bank & Trust culture that Terrell said means a lot to him.

“We serve our community with pride … giving our time, talent and treasure and I don’t expect that will ever change,” he said. “I’m proud of our relationship with the Los Alamos Historical Society and its renovation of the Oppenheimer homestead. Its history will be told for a very long time.”

Terrell is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

“I’m a proud Tarheel graduate of North Carolina and these days wear cherry on game days,” he said. 

Terrell said that in his spare time he enjoys taking his family on day trips throughout New Mexico visiting the many enchanting small towns.

“Also, our dog Boomer is my trusted hiking partner,” he said, adding, “This year, pickleball seems like a good addition.”
