The Elementary School Mile, which had to be postponed at the Los Alamos High School Cross Country Home Meet Oct. 23, was held Wedensday afternoon at the Los Alamos Middle School Cross Country Course.
The meet drew 105 young athletes. Individual winners were fifth grader Abera Hettinga of Chamisa, in a time of 6:16, and sixth grader Sophie Chadwick of Aspen, in a time of 6:37.
The winning boys team was Pinon with 45 points followed by Aspen with 48 points. The winning girls team was Pinon with 42 points, followed by Aspen with 56 points.
Teams are scored by adding the places of their first five runners; low score wins.
