PEEC Thanks Community For Successful Annual Drive

PEEC News:

When PEEC set its Annual Fund Drive goal at $15,000 late last fall, it had no idea that the generosity and support of so many people would make it possible to more than double that goal.

The drive officially ended Dec. 31, 2014, and $31,306.87 has been raised. Gifts to PEEC’s Annual Fund Drive help to support the costs of operating the nature center all year long and providing free or low cost nature programs to the community.

Again this year, PEEC kept track of annual fund donations through a “bearometer”. Because PEEC reached its goal by Dec. 31, the bear was able to hibernate for the winter. Read More

Debates over such a plan’s fiscal chances and mechanics of delivery are certain but shouldn’t detract from the larger point that community colleges are in the news and recognized at the highest political levels as essential to national competitiveness.
