EliseAnne Koskelo, a junior at Los Alamos High School, is the recipient of several prestigious awards for her work in art, design and science.
In December of 2014, Koskelo was awarded a Merit designation from the National Young Arts Foundation for her work. Koskelo’s portfolio was chosen from more that 11,000 applications from across the United States.

Los Alamos Hilltalkers Host Bake Sale Friday
LAHS News:
The Los Alamos Hilltalkers Speech and Debate team will be holding a bake sale fundraiser 3-6 p.m. Friday, May 29 in the lobby of Los Alamos National Bank at 1200 Trinity Dr.
The high school speech and debate team will be accepting donations in exchange for homemade treats including brownies, cookies, breads and cakes. Baked goods will be available in small portions, as well as whole cakes and loaves.
The speech and debate team is raising money to send 10 students from Los Alamos High School to the National Speech and Debate Association Tournament in Dallas, Texas this June.

Los Alamos High School National History Day Club is hosting a bake sale 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 26 at Los Alamos National Bank.
NHD or National History Day is an educational club at the highschool designed to promote the study of history. Students create project based on a theme, this years theme was Leadership and Legacy, and then compete with the projects at regional, state, and national levels.

Two esteemed Los Alamos High School teachers, Marilyn Fabry and Dave Thurston, who lost their lives to cancer will be honored with a memorial bench dedication at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 26.
Former LAHS Principal Sandy Warnock headed the fundraising and effort to place the bench near a beautiful willow tree that sits between the IMC and the Speech Theater at LAHS. The cost of the bench and its installation were jointly paid for by donations raised and a gift from the LAPS Foundation.
